For my graduation film Scheepsrecht (historical drama, ±18 min), I am urgently looking for someone who can help with sound design / foley / SFX!

The film tells the story of Marja Idzinga, the first female student at the Rotterdam Maritime Academy, and is set in the 1970s. Sound plays a major role in the atmosphere and experience of the film. Due to the sensory and tactile nature of the film, sound design takes a central place within the story.

With rich, layered sounds, we aim to make Marja's world truly palpable: the sense of freedom on the water, the moment she puts on her uniform for the Maritime Academy, and the tension and raw atmosphere of the Maritime Academy Rotterdam. In this way, the sound design brings not only the surroundings to life but also Marja's inner world; from uncertainty to determination.

We are currently in the middle of the assembly.

So, it involves a short but intensive period in which the sound design really needs to take shape.

Job requirements / profile
Responsible for the sound design, foley, and SFX of the film, and shaping and bringing to life the complete audio experience of Scheepsrecht in collaboration with the composer.

Language requirements
