The European Film Academy has appointed eight chapter principals for the first time, one per discipline, who act as ambassadors to increase the visibility of their craft and strengthen cohesion within the European film community. Those appointed are casting director Nina Haun, cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema, composer Zbigniew Preisner, costume designer Pascaline Chavanne, editor Yorgos Mavropsaridis, make-up artist Waldemar Pokromski, production designer Antxón Gómez Santander, and sound designer Tarn Willers, with this honourable and voluntary role recognizing their exceptional artistic track record. The chapters themselves were established in 2025 and encompass disciplines central to the European film industry.
