Annecy has announced the Work in Progress lineup for 2026, featuring both major studio productions and international indie films. Baahubali: The Eternal War, a two-part CG animated epic directed by Ishan Shukla and written by Scott Mosier, represents Indian animation on an unprecedented scale. Ogresse by Cécile McLorin Salvant combines jazz, folklore, and mixed animation techniques into a feminist musical, produced by Miyu, Helium Films, and Abuscade Films. Benjamin Massoubre returns with The Wolf, a mature revenge story about a shepherd who loses his flock to a wolf. In the TV category, Common Side Effects Season 2 by Benjy Brooke draws the most attention.
