Angela Jain, Head of Content Disney+ EMEA, announced an acceleration of European productions during the Series Mania Forum, with the platform primarily developing local series for their own national market rather than for cross-border success. For France, Disney+ is working on the thriller Solange, starring Virginie Efira as a TV presenter, and the documentary series Une Histoire de la French Touch by Thibaut de Longeville. In Italy, Murder on Lake Garda is coming, directed by Laura Bispuri and based on the novel of the same name by Tom Hindle, while Spain is getting the documentary series Abandoned, about three children abandoned as kids who discover the truth forty years later.
