At the Cartoon Movie Forum in Bordeaux, the Cartoon Tribute Awards were presented by industry peers. Director Reza Memari won Director of the Year for *The Last Whale Singer*, a German-Czech-Canadian coproduction that has already sold in over 30 territories and had a strong debut in the Czech Republic. The Producer of the Year award went to the team behind *Allah Is Not Obliged*, Zaven Najjar's directorial debut, which won three awards at the Anima Festival in Brussels. Les Films du Préau received the Distributor of the Year award, while the €20,000 Eurimages CPDA was awarded to the Czech-Danish coproduction *Acorn's Adventure* for its original narrative style and innovative animation technique.
