The 79th BAFTA Film Awards were dominated by "One Battle After Another," which won six awards, including Best Picture and Best Director for Paul Thomas Anderson. The ceremony, hosted by Alan Cumming, also saw success for Ryan Coogler's "Sinners," which won three awards and made history as the most-awarded film by a Black director. Robert Aramayo surprised the jury by winning Best Actor, while Jessie Buckley won Best Actress for her role in "Hamnet." "Frankenstein" led the crafts categories.
