CPH:DOX, the international documentary film festival in Copenhagen, has announced its competition program for its 23rd edition, which takes place from March 11 to 22. The program includes 53 world premieres, 17 international premieres, and four European premieres. Artistic director Niklas Engstrøm emphasizes the importance of documentary cinema in times of great change. The main competition, DOX:AWARD, features 12 feature films, all world premieres, competing for a €10,000 prize. There are five other competitions, each with a €5,000 prize, focusing on various cinematic themes such as human rights and innovative art films.
