UK film and television production expenditure reached a record high of £6.8 billion ($9.24 billion) in 2025, a 22% increase from 2024. This was primarily driven by feature films, which spent $3.8 billion. Major projects included Emerald Fennell's "Wuthering Heights" and Sam Mendes's Beatles project. HETV expenditure rose to $5.43 billion. In total, 85% of expenditure was generated by foreign investment in film and HETV. The UK box office generated $1.35 billion, with "A Minecraft Movie" leading the way.
