At TV Drama Vision, representatives from the New8 alliance, comprising eight European public broadcasters, announced their renewed partnership for another three years. The alliance, which includes broadcasters from the five Nordic countries, Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium, focuses on the joint development and production of European drama series. Elly Vervloet of VRT emphasized that the partnership is now more structured, focusing on series that appeal to a broad audience, particularly the 18-45 demographic. The alliance has also introduced a two-step process for project selection and is working on improved marketing strategies.
