"RIETLAND," directed and written by Sven Bresser and produced by Marleen Slot, has been selected as the Dutch entry for the 98th Academy Awards in the Best International Feature Film category. The film had its world premiere during Critics' Week in Cannes and recently screened at film festivals in Sarajevo and New Zealand. "Reedland" tells the story of reed cutter Johan, who finds a girl dead and sets out to uncover the evil. It stars debutant Gerrit Knobbe and newcomer Loïs Reinders.
