The Northern Film Festival starts a collaboration with the German International Film Fest Emden-Norderney under the name 'Nieuwe maatjes – Neue Freunden'. Three films from the Noorderkroon competition will be shown in Emden on June 15. Directors Sammy Shefa Idris, Susanne Hagen and Tom Tieman will be present, as well as a screening of 'Baarch' by Rutger Veenstra. The collaboration, supported by Eems Dollard Regio and the Interreg Deutschland-Nederland program, aims to form a sustainable cultural bridge between the Northern Netherlands and Northwest Germany.
